Showcase refrigerators or island display refrigerators are intended for bulk foods such as sausages and cold cuts, pickles and brined products, chilled prepared foods, and seasoned meats that require cool storage. Cold air circulates continuously over products inside the showcase; items are repeatedly exposed to conditioned air so food stays fresh and appealing. Heat generated in the cabinet is collected by exhaust fans, cooled by compressors, and returned to the refrigeration cycle.
Unit length is determined by regional layout, customer needs, retailer requirements, and overall store design. Length starts at 200 cm and can be ordered to any custom dimension. Cabinets are designed for either a central machine room or a self-contained (plug-in) compressor. Behsarma engineers emphasize a complete refrigeration cycle, minimal cold loss, and no thermal bridges to improve showcase Air-curtain refrigerator efficiency and cut energy use across this line and other retail store equipment. One key measure is integrally injected polyurethane foam at 40 kg/m³ density.
All sheet metal on island showcases is finished with electrostatic oven-baked powder coating—a highly durable industrial finish resistant to impact, abrasion, and moisture. Showcase colors can be matched to product categories, décor, and corporate branding. Finnish thermowood fascias are available on request.
All showcase refrigerators can use PVC-coated divider baskets to separate and organize products. Stainless steel pipe bumpers at the bottom protect against shopping trolleys; PVC bumpers are mounted on the showcase or island cabinet body.
