The horizontal air-curtain freezer uses air-curtain technology and operates on a centralized condensing unit (Centralized Condensing Unit). This open-front (doorless) freezer is designed for self-service display and product access.

These units are installed one-sided against a wall and allow gondola shelving above the freezer. That layout uses sales floor space efficiently and improves customer access; shelves above can hold items related to the product group inside the freezer.

This product suits frozen vegetables, white and red meat, frozen seafood, butter, ready meals, semi-prepared foods, and more. Cabinet design for centralized-engine-room air-curtain freezers considers ergonomics and easy access to displayed goods so customers can see all items from a distance and pick products comfortably. The doorless Single-sided horizontal multideck freezer can be placed as an island or along a wall; the cabinet layout lets shoppers view more variety in a compact footprint. The air-curtain freezer suits large and small stores with wide product ranges; aisles of 120–180 cm should be planned around it. Length is built to order based on store size or customer requirements. Another design focus is maximizing cabinet volume for more product facings. Moving the refrigerating unit from the cabinet to the engine room delivers about 40% more display space than portable (self-contained) freezers.

Behsarma engineers optimize the full refrigeration cycle, minimize cold losses, and avoid thermal bridges to improve efficiency and reduce energy use on this product and other retail store equipment. Integrally injected polyurethane foam at 40 kg/m³ density and triple glazing on all four cabinet faces support that goal. A night cover retains cold air when the store is closed and limits energy waste at the end of the day.

All sheet metal on these freezers is finished with electrostatic oven-baked powder paint—one of the most durable industrial coatings, highly resistant to impact, abrasion, and moisture. Cabinet colors can match product categories, store décor, corporate branding, and more. Thermowood fascias are available on request.

PVC-coated divider baskets can separate and organize products throughout the range. Stainless steel pipe bumpers at the bottom protect against shopping trolleys; PVC bumpers can be fitted on the cabinet body.

Defrost is available as off-cycle defrosting (cooling cycle stop) or electric heating defrost using elements during cycle interruption.
